Which is really better? Macrium or Acronis?

    Installed latest version , only for the Try&Decide-function , which is really very usefull !
    Backups/restoring with the boot-CD ...........
    ( lately only using Macrium for these jobs ! )

    That critical step 5 was not in the Acronis uninstall instructions c. 3 years ago when I last used Acronis software! At least they belatedly learn from their mistakes.

    Hi folks
    use whatever you like so long as they do the job and are reliable

    Any (working) backup / restore is better than none !! if we can get people to take regular decent clean backups a great many Windows problem s could be easily fixed.

    Macrium 100%. I trust it so much never failed even bought the Home version which I did not really need.

    Like so many others, I used Acronis for a long time -- but then, when I needed it to work once, it did not.
    I switched over to Macrium and have only run into one problem -- with it failing very recently on some of the Insider versions.
    But MR noticed this and issued patches to address it, including their Free versions.
    You can't beat that!
