Now the screenshot wont come out. I wrote it down from before, did it same - sniptool/mode + choose/select area wanted/click copy button on sniptool/click the 'A' box upper left corner of reply box/click cursor into reply box/ctrl+v.

I only get an upper portion, with those 2 icons under it.
I don't want to keep making this more involved. I thought I was done. Rescue media, and backup image, put aside in case of major meltdown. I read one guy said he's only needed it couple of times in ten years. I'm probably not going to be adding any major things to the way I have it now.

Even if YOU won't be adding major things, your Windows 10 installation will be changing all the time--the updates are forced on you whether you want them or not.

So, an August 2018 image is likely to be quite stale in August 2019. The image file would NOT have all of the updates you received in that year.

You can live with that if you want, but the premise of imaging is to save you time--including the time required to download a year's worth of updates.

You can never have enough backups

Over the years I've come to realise that making regular backups (in my case daily) is the only way to have a hassle free way of restoring and the reason is simply because so much of my own stuff changes day to day. Files added, files edited and so on. So I take a differential backup daily and start a new set off weekly. Differentials are safer than incrementals although until recently I did always run incrementals and never experienced any issues.

I used to archive backups but tbh I don't bother so much now simply because they would be uselessly outdated and missing so much work that has gone on. When I do restore for whatever reason it is almost always to the last one made.

Placing backups in logically named folders allows you to easily pick a date to revert back to.

Nice! "That's the way you do it"
I hope those that don't back up learn a lesson here. It only takes two minutes of your time, if scheduled, the process just runs without user intervention.

MeAndMyComputer - this time the screenshot worked. Plugged in the usb first, but like I said, don't have upper and lower part. I think it's the same as just bringing up MR without having the usb image plugged in.

Maybe try plugging the usb stick into a different usb port on your computer?

    Connect your USB flash drive
Left click the File Explorer folder in your taskbar
See if the USB shows up in the left side of the screen
Mine shows as USB Drive E

If yours shows up leave it alone
Repeat the process mentioned in post #60
Create a screenshot for it and post it for us
