    Can I restore Windows to how it was before a Reset


    I have done a Reset in Windows and wish I had not. I also did not do a back-up prior to resetting. Is there any way it is possible to go back to the way things were prior to the reset? I have not made any other changes since resetting in the hope this will be possible.

    The only thing that would have helped would be if you had used disk imaging routinely as we so often recommend, or a clone of your system disk.

    At this point, only a local data recovery person or company might, possibly, maybe, be able to recover whatever bits and pieces are recoverable (I'm a Windows 7 person, I do not know Windows 10). And, very likely, it will cost you plenty.
