    Hi,
My 100% is mostly for win-7 reliability doing images inside the os.
10 on the other hand is quite worse
Using the winpe cd/ flash media for creating and restoring 10 or 7 images for that matter is 100%
I've had issues in 10 using reflect so the reliability goes out the window to 0% never will waste time with it again inside win-10.

Backup and Restore was a mess. You have to wonder how it ever escaped Redmond. The user interface alone was enough reason never to monkey with it, let alone the inflexibility and general crankiness.
Never bothered with it. I even avoided System Restore for years. Only after an important System Restore failed I finally tried Macrium and did not look back. It still surprises me that it can backup when Windows is running and restore everything when MS System Restore fails at just restoring a few files.

That's courtesy of the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS)...

So Macrium won't function without VSS yet they can get it work and MS who created VSS can't.

Macrium Reflect will of course work without VSS if you make backups in winpe mode.

Some "traditionalists" still like to work in Winpe mode to backup but this is probably a hangover back to days of tools like Norton Ghost that rather dodgy on full Windows mode.

Ask them? Remember when you voted and you were warned the vote was public and that other could see how you voted? Well...

The only times I have had a problem with the free Macrium Reflect was with my 12 year old HP laptop where I would get the occasional failure to restore an image (or sometimes several images) even though they verified OK after I created them. Trying to restore the image(s) a second or third time would usually work though.

The laptop has had the original hard drive (several since new actually) replaced with a SSD a couple of years back so it wasn't a hard drive problem.

Never any problems with my main PC though so I just put it down to the age of the laptop.

That was with version 6. Since installing version 7 I haven't any problems whatsoever with restoring images on the laptop or the main PC.
