    Windows loading/restart issues

I have a custom PC and recently it's been having a lot of issues with starting up very slow (I'm running a SSD for OS). It also no longer recognizes my other 2 hard drives I have in it, and any maintenance programs it runs will run either part way or fail to run at all. Many of those same programs will not run again if I close out of them. If I power it down or restart it through Windows, it won't power down and stays on the "restarting" screen. I've tried to reinstall Windows through the OS restore feature and it locks up. I've tried to run the repair feature in startup, and so far it takes hours for any progress to be made, if it makes any at all. I'm out of ideas how to fix this (I also no longer have my install disc for Windows 7, which I took the free upgrade from). Is there a way to fix this that I'm unaware of?

Sounds like a major issue offhand.

Do you have any known good spare parts you could swap in, such as a different power supply?

Have you used any software tools to diagnose possible hard drive or RAM issues?

    How old is the motherboard?

I assume you have no specialized tools that a computer technician might use to test hardware.

Tough to diagnose or comment on when all we know about your PC is "Windows 10".

I don't have any spare parts to try unfortunately. Mobo is a 5 yr old ASUS M95 and I can't run any diagnostic software on it. It just won't do it for some reason. I've been trying to avoid taking it to a tech but it's looking like I may have to.

(I also no longer have my install disc for Windows 7, which I took the free upgrade from).
    - that's easy - you can freely download and create Win 10 install media; a clean install requires no license (even if you change the disk- and often more major changes are fine too).

Please download and create Kyhi's boot disk, available from the top of the Software and Apps section here (Win 10 + utilities as you'll see).

Boot your PC from it- assuming that's possible. (You may need to change a BIOS setting).
If not, try removing the disks other than the SSD and try again.

Run HD Tune (on the boot disk) and for each drive in the PC check the Health tab and Error scan tabs.
    Post the results.

recently it's been having a lot of issues with starting up very slow
    - People who have upgraded to build 1803 have sometimes reported this. Do you know if your PC is build 1803 and if the problems started after upgrading?
    - Of course there could be many other causes of such a problem.

Please complete your system specs. (See mine for comparison - click My Computer below my post).

If you can get that far, then your PC is potentially capable of running Windows, and we've made a start.
