Restore System with Acronis True Image 2014

Hi, I just updated to Windows 10 and I am loving it! I want to create a system image using a Acronis True Image 2014 bootable CD. I created a backup using the CD just fine and it includes the MBR the C: drive. When i try to restore the image, Windows 10 will boot but when i get to the desktop, it does not load properly and the screen flashes. I have re-installed since, but i want to create a backup for ease of use. Does anyone know how to restore an image properly? I blame the program, since it was working fine before.

You may want to review this (from Acronis Support):

Edit: Give Aomei a try: http://www.backup-utility.com/free-backup-software.html

I'm using Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2012 (the previous version) and have had no problems backing up and restoring my Win 10 system image.

Thanks will give Acronis 2015 a try next week! Still would like to try and find a solution for Acronis 2014.

The free version of Macrium Reflect is working nicely for me in W10. I was a long time Acronis user but I'm quite happy with Macrium.

I'm sick of having to always buy a new version of Acronis when I change OSes. Time to dump them and move to Macrium or AOMEI or Paragon.

I have 2014 and it loks like my backup I just created will be useless.

    Thanks all for this info.
