    WD Elements

    Hi Tom,
Found it shown in attachment but I haven't done anything with it. It's almost midnight here so If you can leave me further instructions for the morning, I will continue then if that's alright with you. I won't do anything if I don't understand what it is I have to do until I have consulted you again. Thanks for your help and my apologies for all the trouble I am causing. Sincerely.

    Kindest regards,
    RonB

    No need for any apologies.

I'm assuming that is a current Device Manager screenshot. Please post the Disk Management screenshot. I am going to get you to uninstall and re-install the device and it's driver, but not now. Tomorrow.

Ron, one more screenshot added to the list. Please do a screenshot of My PC and post.
I want to take a look at the Drive letters and volume names.

    Thanks. TC

    WD Elements

Good morning Tom, attached are the screen shots you requested. I hope I have got all the right one's. Could not put all the data of one shot all on one page so took it down to "Screen 3 then did another shot from Screen to the bottom, hope that's ok. Didn't sleep very much last night, very hot and brain (what there is was whirling) all night. Have to go out this morning but will be back on line at 3-30pm our time. Thanks again,

    Did you fly Tomcat aircraft?

Good morning, Ron. Things may not be as bad as they appear. I'm going to post some pics and short instructions, we'll go over it all when you come back on around 11-11:30a.m. my time...3-3:30p.m. your time. Based on your posts and pics, I believe we just need to give that WD drive a bath and some clean clothes. It's 8am here, so I'll get the pics together and post before you get back.

    Cheers...... TC

    8:20am

First, we need a new screenshot of the Disk Management display. It's very likely that when you tried to Clone the SSD to the WD, and yanked the USB cable while it was running, it left the WD drive partially changed and without it's name. This is fixable. Please follow the instructions in the pic and re-post the Disk Management. The "keypad" I am referring to is the number/symbol numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard, not the top row of keys.

Any questions, please ask first. Thanks.

    WD Elements

Hi Tom, sorry I am late, got caught up in a traffic snag, what a pain. I hope the attachments are what you wanted. I left clicked and then held ctrl and the + but nothing changed.

    Cheers,

    Ron

Morning, Ron. Not important about the Ctrl+.

What is important is this. Look all the way at the bottom of the Disk Management screen. That is your WD drive. It's called "New Volume" now because of the clone mishap. It shows in My PC that way, too. Can you see all that?

    @RonBin79

In about 1 hour and 15 minutes from now , 1p.m. my time, 4 or 5p.m. your time, the Microsoft Monthly Updates will start. If you are not back shortly, I would strongly suggest delaying any further chat and fix discussions until later today or tomorrow. I don't want to be in the middle and updates waiting for a restart of the computers. It would be very confusing.

Good. I need your full attention for a few minutes. Won't take long. Can you devote a few uninterrupted minutes now?
