Tom, I am not getting anything like you have shown me. I have just opened WD and clicked on the oblong which gave me as shown on the attached and opened up another drive. I think I will have to wait for the guy on Wednesday. It's all in such a mess. On top of all this, we have just had some visitors arrive so I will have to leave it for now anyway. I will get back to you after the guy has had a look at my machine.
    Cheers for now,

    ron

Ron, how did you get in contact with Macrium? Did you call? Email? I'm not suggesting anything, but it's unusual for support to be given, especially via remote support, on a free product.

Yes, perhaps that is best for now. Let the reps you have an appointment with on Wednesday have a look and do a fix-up for you.

    Cheers!

Tom I just took the bull by the horns and went for it, seems to have worked thus far. I cannot understand their tutorials? "how to create a disk image" Para 1 - Start Reflex (how?) Take option "create a backup image" (where is it?) It's OK if you know how to start Reflex, I went into their web sites, couldn't see anything there, opened WD Elements and got the same as I have posted in the past. I have written tutorials in the past and always made sure the reader has all the info needed. Its no use just saying got to the road, then the house and open the door, what road? which house? and which door? I suppose if you well versed with Macrium it's a piece of cake but if you are a dumbo like me, I will say no more..... Thanks again for your hep and friendship, much appreciated and I will keep in touch.
    Cheers for now

    WD Elements

    Hi Tom,

I am still trying!!! I went to my list of programmes and opened Macrium Reflect in the hope of finding the square which says "Backup Tasks" only to find the attached. I was asked if I wanted the programme to make alterations etc so I clicked yes but I never got the square I mentioned earlier, I have searched all the boxes and icons showing on the screen but still cannot find it. maybe its the heat over here that's affecting the computer.....

    Cheers,
    RonB

    Morning Ron....

I copied your posted pic and indicated where to click. The "Backup Task" is right there. It's not a BOX, per se, just a heading.
All these pics are in all the tutorials and links I have given you.

    WD Elements

Good afternoon. I don't know what I have done but I started the attached. I don't get any real indication of what the second oblong represents but clicked n it anyway and followed it through. Fingers crossed...
Hope you are fit and well and had a nice week end...

    Cheers

Ron, based on your pic, you are doing a Clone, not an Image Backup.

That is why you got that message. It is doing a complete byte-by-byte duplicate copy of your SSD to the WD drive. That is probably not what you wanted to do.

Oh dear. I will stop it then because as you say that's not I wanted. It's strange that what I get on my screen is nothing like yours. Perhaps you have a deferent version to the one I have??
