Thank you very much, job done, CD burner installed.

Thanks again for your help, very much appreciated.

Off to bed now, nearly 10-30pm. Been a long day trying to get where I am now with a CD Burner..

    Cheers and kid regards,

@dick "That is the exact same link as in post #40". I have to admit I hadn't gone back to see that, but it was the malicious website warning in post #44 that caught my attention. Sorry about that.
I double-checked Major Geeks and selected the 2nd like and that was much more straightforward and quick to install ImgBurn
than the explanation I went through.

That's quite alright, Larry. I had a couple others with Norton try it and it was fine. Ron either had a false positive somehow, or the link didn't take quite right. He's fine now.

    Thanks...

Thank you for your concern and help. I appreciate very much. I am now enjoying trying to find out how to retrieve a file from my WD Elements if I ever need one. It's very interesting and keeps my old brain box active. Once again, a big THANK YOU to one and all.

    Cheers for now,

You're welcome, Ron, and good luck. Retrieving a single file (or more than one) is really very easy. Right click the backup image file, and click Explore. Choose the C: drive. Windows will assign a drive letter to it. You can then simply us Windows Explorer to navigate and copy any file or files you wish. No modifying, just copy. When all done, go to My PC, find the mounted drive (it's obvious), right click, and Dismount it. Done!

Thanks Tom. I worked with the USN Navy boys during the Korean War, your chaps were flying Corsairs, off the USS Biroko(?) we had to be careful, they looked like Russian MIG's from a distance, the wing structure was very like them. We were off the Han River when a squadron of Corsairs decided to attack us, their call sign was Red Rock. Our skipper had a very short conversation with Red Rock Leader! They apologised and disappeared into the sun. 1952 when I was a boy.....
    Cheers,

    WD Elements

    Hi Tom,
I am in trouble again, I cannot find the notes I wrote on how to get into WD Elements, I have been through the previous chats we had but the one I want has been removed. Can you tell me how I get into the programme please? I have attached what I can see at the moment. Sorry to be a damned nuisance.

    @RonBin79

Ron, here is entire article from Macrium on how to Explore (what you call "getting into WD"). In essence, you click the C: partition in your picture, Windows assigns a drive letter to it, you go to My PC and it shows as a normal Drive. Do whatever you want. You can't modify (change) anything, or delete anything, but you can look at anything and copy anything. When you are done, right click the Drive in My PC and eject it with the Macrium option shown.

    Hope this helps.

    WD Elements

Thank you for coming to the rescue, very kind of you. I have printed the whole lot so I can keep them in a folder and not lose them again!. I hope I didn't offend you when I wrote about the Corsairs, it was a practice dive bombing exercise, one that nobody told us about.

Thanks again, I will try not to bother you again.

    Kindest regards,

    RonB

You're not bothering anyone, Ron. Post anytime you wish. And, no, The Corsairs post did not offend at all...thought it was kinda funny.
