    Macrium Back Up times

Hi Dick, nice to hear from you. My computer is set to GMT time which I thought might cause confusion. I want to start the backup on the first Monday of every month at 5pm our time and was not sure whether Macrium worded on your time or ours?
    Cheers,
    Ron

F14Tomcat, Hi Dick. I was due a backup on the 1st of Aug at 1700, nothing happened until the 2nd but not at 1700. Can you tell me how I make sure I am on GMT and not on your time please, or do I have to set my monthly backup to run at 5pm our time but use your time for the setting, if you see what I mean??

Hope you are fit and well and all is OK.

    Cheers,
    Ron
    Hi,
The first Monday of August was the 6th. Your pic shows the backup is set to run 1st Mon of the month at 19:00 (7pm).
    Cheers.

    Hi Ron, again!

Yes, Eddie is right. When you set that up on July 17th, you set to first Monday of month, not 1st day of month. You can change that. You know how. If you forgot, I'm gonna take away your Single Malt!

Oh no, please don't take away my Malt. I will leave it as is, first Monday of every month at 1900. I have stuck a 'Post It' on the side of the monitor. Thanks Dick. I will leave you in peace while waiting for dinner will enjoy, guess what

Don't need to guess. Just a wee dram, of course....

    Thanks to Eddie, too.

    Help with WD Elements F14TopCat

I plugged in my WD Elements at 16-56 expecting to get something on my screen at 1700,the time my scheduled back up was supposed to start but alas nothing has appeared? The unit light is remaining steady so I am not sure whether there is a backup up going or not and what is worse, I have no idea how to find out. I would be grateful for your comments please?

    F14Tomcat.

I plugged in at 1656 for a scheduled back up at 1700, but nothing seems to have happened. How can I find out if one was taken or not please Dick?

Check Taskmanager to see if there is activity. It's hard to know what is on your screen right now. A screenshot of what you are seeing would help. I can't imagine what you are seeing. I don't do scheduled backups, I do manually, so I always can see every step as it is proceeding.

Don't misinterpret..... I'm not implying or saying scheduled backups are wrong or you shouldn't do them. I just do not know what you are seeing.
