    Please help me about this, i try to create a backup image on another HDD portable and I found this error

    Did you do what the error message suggested? Running Check Disk with the /R switch (ie) chkdsk /R from an Elevated Command Prompt on both your C: drive and the Destination HDD?

    An I/O error can be a serious error. Do you have full image backups of your OS and data partitions stored somewhere else?

    Thank you all for your support, yes I have another in one of the primary partitions, this one I want to take it to portable device

    I had a similar issue under v/ 1709 and it turned out to be the target USB hard drive. Somehow it got corrupted and I could not fix the issue. Hard reformatting and a CCleaner drive wipe did not fix things. Since it was an old IDE drive, I replaced it with a newer SATA drive in a USB enclosure. Works fine now. The IDE drive was disposed of.

    I think that issue I/O device error is from what device we used to put the external HDD on it and plugging it to the PC, maybe some PC's and laptops not support this devices,

Since Win 10, Macrium Reflect, and Aomei Backupper all have the means to extract files from a system image is there any benefit to using standard back-up files any more, other then maybe quicker access to the files?
