Yeah. How did you create MR part.
I creates the Fat32 partition, marked it active, then copied all the files and folders to it from another MR boot usb I had made earlier.

Once you have made one usb with the MR installer, you can make as many more as you want just by copying the files across to another suitably prepared usb. I have put a copy of the files in a .zip file so I don't need the installer any more.

Yeah - you basically copied them manually. I do more or less the same by mounting Rescue.iso as a drive.

I found creating it from within MR got tangled up as it could not handle multiple partitions properly (not tested recently if still a problem though).

wow. so much info in the last few threads. I'm going to try the ntfs first. That way I can shrink the volume by just 1 gb instead of the 16gb and then format to fat32.

Success. It works like a charm. The initial boot is a little slower probable do to rescue media files being in the last partition. But I f12'd the one time boot and mr7 interface came up as advertised. Then I browsed the stored disk image and everything was there. Thanks to everyone for the input and info.

Great this has worked but please bear in mind usb flash drives are less reliable than hard drives. Always a good idea to copy image backup to another drive. Murphy's Law says usb drive will fail when you need it most.
