    Clone Windows Partition

I want to clone my windows partition to a 250GB SSD. C currently resides on a 3TB drive that has 4 other partitions on it. Using Macrium I can see the C partition fine along with the rest. I only want the C to be cloned and not the rest which obviously wont fit anyway.

Do I just highlight the C partition and hit the clone? Once cloned and booting off the SSD I will delete the old C partition and expand the following partition into its space.

You have to clone more than C partition or else it will not boot.

    Post image from disk partition.

There are no extra partitions but the other drives.
My other PC also has an SSD in it that had Windows cloned onto it and there is just a C partition and a small couple hundred MB blank partition at the end of it. I can't for the life of me remember how I cloned it on there.

That is a very old legacy bios installation where it has the boot files in the C partition instead of a separate system partition. So I guess you can clone as you wish.

I'm confused, I thought partitions within any particular hard-drive can only be imaged, not cloned. I thought only en toto hard-drives can be cloned. Have things changed since Windows 7?

You are wrong I am afraid e.g. Macrium Reflect allows you to partially clone a drive i.e. you can exclude partitions.
