I will remember to check that spot for other programs like this.

I didn't try the key since Aomei tech support said it would not activate after the date. Already restored image from before I installed it earlier. It's all good. I have Macrium free and it does all I need.

It seems this offer wasn't quite as good as it might have first appeared. I've just clean installed W8.1 on my old laptop and the license key is no longer accepted with a clean install of AOMEI, it comes up as invalid.

AOMEI advise me that the key has time expired.

So there we are... if something is to good to be true then it usually is.

You could have copied the backupper folder and the three drivers out of system 32 from your original installation onto your new installation.
