Greetings! I am attempting to do the same thing, My system operates from a SATA SSD (500GB) as well as HDD(1TB) and am attempting to move the system over to one large SATA SSD (2TB). Aside from advisory on the difference between cloning and Imaging, I am not seeing a solve on how to accomplish the cloning process using Macrium Reflect.

Where I'm at: I first cloned the primary source drive (SSD 500GB) and then cloned the secondary source drive (HDD 1TB), both to the target drive (SSD 2TB). I did get an "overwrite" warning, and with my limited knowledge I proceeded with the process. As I'm sure you are aware, the new target drive did not boot. For cloning the target drive is connected with a SATA-USB cable (not to the motherboard). I did connect the Target drive to the MB and disconnected the source drives in my boot attempt.

I'm guessing I need to format and try again, but I would love to know how to do it properly this time.
    Thank you!

You now have a SATA SSD (500GB) as well as HDD(1TB).

Are you POSITIVE that your current setup will boot IF the 1 TB is disconnected?

You need to find out. Yes it will or no it won't.

If it will.........then I suggest you use Macrium imaging rather than cloning. Cloning can work, but it can be problematic.

edit: YES it does booth without the 1TB SSD

I am not positive although I vaguely remember that working before. I will check on that.

Assuming that YES it does indeed still boot (just for clarity), your advice is to format the improperly cloned target 2TB SSD, and then proceed with imaging the two source drives instead?

The first question that arises for me (pardon my ignorance) is will I be able to image the two drives at the same time?

OK; good that it will boot with the 1 TB disconnected.

    Before going farther....

What is the general purpose of the 1 TB? It apparently has NO Windows files on it. Good.

Does it have any installed programs? Just personal data like video files and Word files and pictures?

Tell me about the 1 TB.

Do you have ANY external drives, often used for backup?

You should NOT have to format anything.

I have a couple games living on the 1TB as well as media files such as game clips and Adobe files.

In all honesty I thought I had some other installed programs on the 1TB but under "program files" I just have "Modifiable Windows Apps" folder that is empty.

I have no external drives used for backups (aside from 8GB thumb drive for windows installation), my hope was to utilize one of these source drives for backup purposes.

Not even format the new 2TB target with its jumbled up Frankenstein's-monster-style volume contents huh?

How much FREE space on the 1 TB, grand total?

    Unclear.

    Clarify.

    Occupied space on the 500

Free space on the 1 TB.

    One number for each drive.
