    In Windows 10, the CD produced if you get it to make a System Repair Disc contains the same files and folders as a USB recovery drive without the system files included.

    1) See if you can find a flash drive that you can format ( > or = 8 GB)
    2) Make a bootable Windows 10 iso:
    Download Windows 10
    3) If you have a bootable computer you can repair operating system corruption with an in place upgrade repair:
    Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade Installation Upgrade Tutorials
    4) Make backup images of the drive and update the images monthly or more frequently if needed:

    Macrium's Rescue Media is (are?) also worth building. Comes as part of Macrium Reflect and Macrium Reflect Free. Their Windows boot repair facility is as good as anything else I've found. Worth adding to your toolbox of repair/rescue disks, IMO.
