Ah @Jhawk55, so it's the High Contrast bug! Yes, I investigated that one back on 24th Oct. The bug then prevented Defender Security Centre from opening at all.

I found on testing that the High Contrast Black and High Contrast White themes worked, #1 and #2 didn't. As this appear to be a bug, it may get fixed in a cumulative update and you could switch back to your preferred theme.
windows defender security center dosn't start correctly

Since then we've had several cumulative updates and an update to the Defender Anitimalware Client. This has at least let Defender now open, with the side-effect that my testing now shows that the only high contrast theme that it works fully with is 'High Contrast White'. It's an improvement (of sorts) I suppose

Until they fix this properly, the only workaround is to switch to 'High Contrast White' or 'None' to use the affected parts of Defender, then switch back to your preferred theme once you are done.

Updates, I confirmed that WDSC works fine in High Contrast Black mode. I also found that any color I changed to the High Contrast Black will breaks the WDSC again, unbelievable... Looks like I am stuck with using the default High Contrast Black mode for time being. Bye...

Updates: Just upgraded my Windows 10 Pro using the "Upgrade Assistant" to version 1803 (Build 17134.1). Found that they have finally solved this issue between using "High contrast theme" and "Windows security center".

You can always force the issue. Down load the MCT, create a USB, navigate to USB and double click setup.

Some people are having issues with 1803 and it is expected some sort of CU will be released May 8th so you may wish to wait.
