@MrHudson, Windows Defender is the NEW MSE in Windows 8.0/8.1 and 10, I just prefer at the moment using Using Avast Free Antivirus, as feel more comfortable with that, despite I may not need it, but better safe than sorry

MSE I could schedule it when to scan, Defender I cant, it will do scan when it wants to, some times it wont.

The default is that Defender scans while the PC is idle, and aborts the scan if you start using it. If you want to schedule your own scans that won't stop if you start using the PC, then you can use Task Scheduler. See this 'solved' thread...

I thought I did choose a Better Av, as Avast Free always scores well in the various av tests sites, and have been using for like 10 years or 11, I lost count. I haven't had no more troajn alerts since on any PC, so think i'm all set now

I am using it. No issues with 5.37.
No issues with 5.36 either.

Did the 5.36 version actually turn out to contain anything malicious?
