Also the reason I think its some sort of infection is because ... it says promoted links by taboola and when google'd taboola .. pretty much every result implies its not good and probably should be removed.
And also the fact that well i never had ads in skype until now.

    Suggestions anyone?

Oh that, I suppose if this cant be fixed then I'll have to switch there but I was hoping to fix this issue by removing w/e created those ads.

Also on a different note, after seeing the ads for the first time when I did, some google results showed there has been ads in skype for a while but I've been using skype for years, how come I didn't get any until now? or is it for adware removal from 3rd party malicious codes that install on ones system without any permission?

The desktop ones can be removed but I'm not sure of the legality of providing such links on this forum so I'll err on the side of caution.

What he means is this site depends on advertising revenue to keep it running. The rules of this site are that there will be no discussions of any kind about ad blocking. If you would like to read the rules of this site, they can be found here, Forum Rules - Windows 10 Forums
Pay particular attention of Rule #12.

Ya but there is advertisement .. which is legit and then there is adware/malwares that installs in ones system without their permission and I don't think the ads I'm seeing in skype is legit/official ads ... something from some sketchy site got into my system and thus the issue.

And if you're saying that, those are official skype/ms ad, can you atleast show some evidence to that claim? just so I don't any headaches over something ruining my system later on.

Or is it like, be it mal/adware .. if it contains ad's ... I cant get any help here?
