    Double click registry file i have uploaded and from Task Manager enable Windows Defender notification icon.

    You do know that .reg file is only suitable for Creators Update (1703) don't you? We do not yet know which version the OP has.

    I gave the correct registry key for all versions in post #6 - along with a warning that malware may be what removed it in the first place.

    System Restore Windows 10


    Try a System Restore to return the icon to the Personalization menu ?

    Have you checked for malware yet
    ? Yes. But will do another check this morning.

    I'm back did all Malwarebytes check awd cleaner ccleaner jrt cleaner nothing found.
    The reg link that FreeBooter gave must have done the job.All looking good now.
    Thanks very much once again.
    Did try a system restore but that failed I don't get much luck with that I must be doing something wrong.
    Anyway Thanks to all.

    Not quite the latest, there was an out of band cumulative update to 15063.632 on Sept,. 25th.
    Cumulative Update KB4040724 Windows 10 v1703 Build 15063.632

    That .reg adds the one key I posted about earlier. I'm curious as to how it went missing - it shouldn't have. Had you done anything that may explain it? Used a registry cleaner, a tweaking tool, or tried installing another AV?

    Anyway, glad to hear it's all working now.



    PS: system restore can be a bit 'iffy' at times. Better to make a system image. Macrium Reflect get's a lot of recommendations here.

    Ghys for me the only think who work is to boot from a linux live cd,and delete all windows defeder folders from programm files and programm filesx86.Windows defender-capture.png as you can see in my picture, the windows defeder is gone forever

    Glad your issue is resolved.

    Run SFC Command in Windows 10

    If System Restore failed, do a sfc/scannow for corrupt files. You may need System Restore at a later date and/or have corrupt files.
