    bitlocker versus the other guys


    i have just got a file encrypt program as a giveaway..could i still use it over bitlocker? -and forego bitlocker when the next update comes?

    Does your machine have a TPM chip? If yes, then stick with BitLocker.

    Also, BitLocker is light on system resources as well compared to other encryption products.

    If you have TPM, you should be ok to use BitLocker and nothing else.

    By using two encryption tools you can seriously mess up your system. Stick to BitLocker (if possible)

    yes i checked and i do have that...but the program i already have, called kryptel which is a paid version i got in a giveaway seems to be doing its job. on the pc, the file size is about 45MB...not bad. i always worry about how much resources are being used by a particular program.
