WD: How do I keep threats in quarantine indefinitely?

Sorry for all the unsolved threads, but I noticed that Windows Defender has a feature that it periodically empties the quarantine:
    Code:
Quarantined threats have been isolated and prevented from running on
your device. They will be periodically removed.
I don't want it to do that! How do I keep them in quarantine indefinitely, as I did on Windows 7? I want to keep them in there as a form of "quarantined files history", so I can look back on what has been detected over time. I know they can't run as long as I don't hit Restore. The Windows 7 version (MSE) had a setting where you could "remove quarantined files after x days", but I can't seem to find that in WD to disable it. Where is that setting located? If applicable, what Registry key/entry?

I'll add to your good questions two more
    - WHERE are the quarantined files?
    - where is a setting to scan/or not scan external drives?
