Defender updates today?

    Defender updates today?


    Just curious, has anyone had any defender definition updates today through windows update? I have had none which seems unusual

    By coincidence I had checked for updates just before you posted. I got version 1.249.1077.0 created about a day ago.

    i've been checking both our PC's today as well and still have .1077 and the MS website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/definitions) says that this is the latest one.

    Indeed. MS releases new definitions about 12 times a day. No updates for the whole day, that is really odd.

    Quite a jump from 1077 to 1124. I guess there were some internal problems.

    ...and indeed delivers all of them to their Enterprise customers for the Windows Server Update Service (WSUS). The public releases are a selection from these, usually one or two a day.

    This is not the first time there has been a gap of more than a day.

    Mine updated Monday 8/14/17 and definition version is 1.249.1036.0. Majorgeeks.com is not showing anything newer.

Does anybody have any idea why updates successfully installed on 09th Feb (including kb3135173) should be all reinstalled today? I have not wound back pc or anything like that.

Its Tuesday and that's usally when updates come out. I haven't seen any updates yet does anyone know if theres going to be a windows update today?
MS Defender updates from Windows Update in settings fail, other Updates successful, but MS Defender from Control panel can update the same definition updates without problems (why, oh, why? can't I just select and copy from settings? :()...
