    Kaspersky 2018?

Kaspersky have suggested I install the 2018 version of Kaspersky Total Security due to a few minor issues I'm having - see https://support.kaspersky.com/13649

Has anyone used the 2018 version yet and what do you think of it?

After recommendations from here, I ditched Kasperky and went with Windows Defender instead. I've seen better performance and battery life out of my Dell Precision 3520 with Win10 Pro and with my MacBook Pro. Glad I finally got rid of it!

I was thinking of ditching Kaspersky too but I get a free licence from my UK bank and it has some useful features - but being developed in Russia is not one of them.

May want to check the Kaspersky Forum. Since '18 was just recently released, doubt if too many users. In fact, I need to update.

Kaspersky is a fine product. Disregard the "fake news." :)

I upgraded from Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 to 2018 on 3 computers a bit over a week ago and have had no problems on any of them.

Oh, one minor issue. Thunderbird complained about a certificate authentication error. I told Thunderbird to create a permanent exception. The correct response should have been to give Thunderbird a copy of the Kaspersky self-signed certificate. (I don't know how to remove that exception.) I'm a bit puzzled by this since I did not have to do anything (that I remember) with previous versions if KIS. I'm also puzzled the Thunderbird complained but Firefox did not.
