Hey elprice7345,
Have you checked Windows Firewall in Services? (It should be running and set to automatic)
Please attempt the solution listed in this thread here:
Turn On or Off Windows Defender in Windows 10 Windows 10 Security System Tutorials
Please report back to me.
A day later and all is still good! Thanks for your help!
Congratulations! I am glad Windows Defender is now fully functional with Norton. As I stated earlier, Windows defender can work in tandem and it is recommended (at least by myself) to have both since it runs occasional scans and provides a realtime shield if you configure it as such.
It's back ... rebooted today and the Defender setting window won't stay open. It opens fine for a few minutes after rebooting, but then I get a message in Action Center that says Windows firewall is turned off.
After that, the Defender settings window won't stay open.
Here's a screen capture from the Security and Maintenance window:

Every time I try to open the Defender settings window I get the same error:
Faulting application name: SecHealthUI.exe, version: 10.0.15063.0, time stamp: 0x58ccbce5
Faulting module name: SecHealthUIDataModel.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x58ccbc8d

I also get this error after each reboot:
"The Windows Security Center Service was unable to establish event queries with WMI to monitor third party AntiVirus, AntiSpyware and Firewall."
Not sure if this is a Windows or Norton issue, so I started a thread on the Norton board and didn't have any more luck.

If anyone has any further suggestions, let me know.
