Kapersky Free Trial Anti-Virus Unistalled / Notification Remains

I installed Kapersky Anti-virus the free trial version and uninstalled it along with the Secure Connect software that it installed. I cannot figure out how to get rid of the notification that apparently did not clean-up after the uninstall. I did find there software removal tool which did not work either. Anyone else run into this? Any help with the removal would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi TenViper

Given you ran their tool and it did not work and I'll state up front my suggestion does not change that.....

Did you see if there is anything in the startup tab of task manager and failing that use Autoruns to disable it starting.

If you really want it gone, maybe a tool like revo uninstaller will meet your needs.

I would suggest you create a system image with a tool like Macrium Reflect before making changes so you have a fall back position.

Is the above removal tool the one used ?

    Random thoughts: Whichever you prefer.

    - Run the tool again or reinstall Kaspersky and uninstall again. Make sure to restart computer after running removal tool.

    - System Restore prior to Kaspersky

    - Manually remove leftover registry entries (regedit) and folders.

    - As Ken mentions, run Revounistaller, forced uninstall, type in Kaspersky.

I have just switched to Kaspersky Total Security 2017 - bought a 10 machine licence - I have 3, 2 x daughters one, son one, grandkids one each and their mum. I like it, and the tools dept is like a hardware store for DIY!!
