    Click Quit from Mbams menu
    Then turn MB back on.
Then Click on Check for updates using the pull down menu (Right clicking on Mbam) Not from Inside Mbam.
    Then it will download updates.
Quit Mbam 1 more time, then turn back on.

That procedure didn't work. However, I finally got it working by rebooting.

Took me a restart AND a shutdown to get it back in order. Was thinking I may need jumper cables before it would be over.

As to the future, "We'll see..."

Well, that was exciting. Works again now. I only took the trial because of the current threats that it is supposed to prevent. Let's see what else they can screw up in the last 8 days of the trial. I found that I had a real fun time trying to do a clean uninstall. Had to resort to Revo uninstaller, which worked really well. And then I come here and see all this commotion so, I reinstalled and it's working again. Didn't want to miss any of the fun.
