    False Antivirus Expiration Warnings

I use NOD32 antivirus and my subscription was going to expire in a week so Windows started notifying me through its action center. At the 2 day mark I renewed my subscription but for the last week Windows is still telling me my antivirus will expire in 2 days, its 2 days, every day. I keep clearing the message and it keeps coming back saying 2 days.

How do I reset this or fix the alerts? Honestly I dont need to be notified of antivirus renewal I monitor it myself.

    Thanks

Click on Start - Settings - System - Notifications. There may be a option to turn it off.

    NOD32 is not listed here.

Its clean, deff not even a thought. I've been using NOD32 for 10 years and nothing has ever gotten past it. I am 100% confident my workstation is clean as a whistle.

There may be an issue with Windows 10 and NOD32. Have you tried completely uninstalling the program and then made sure that the Windows Firewall and Defender are turned off, especially with creators, alot of items were changed under the hood. False Positives have been an issue with a lot of Security software and Windows for a while.

No I have not done that, the message is propriety to NOD32. It says NOD32 is going to expire, so if I remove NOD32 (with or without Defender) that message in theory should be gone.

Its not the type of false positive that occurs with a threat being detected, its not saying there is a threat just that my software is expiring. I guess this is just another one of Win10 glitches.

I would let NOD know. Something may be either messing with the registry entry and throwing this up, or the program is able to get out of the network/system to verify that it is still a valid license. Check their forums to see if anything with the recent Windows updates are causing it to puke.

It almost sounds like your license renewal period never got updated. Does NOD32 show an extended license renewal?

NOD32 shows a 30 day trial, I renew the trail every 30 days (yeah...I know) and I have been doing this for many years the trial has the same functionality as the full license. If you keep renewing your trial period (12 times a year) you get free antivirus. Even if its in a trial period Windows never used to bother me about it until the last 5 days.
