Beware, when MB3 upgrades versions(not to be confused with the data base), it will uninstall MBAE and you will need to reinstall it. So keep a copy of the latest MBAE installer somewhere safe on your system.

As some may know Anti-exploit is a permanent beta and is used to test before incorporating it into the new MB 3.

But there are still Beta versions and Release versions of Anti-Exploit.

The latest release version is 1.09.1.1334 and is available through auto-update.

The latest beta version is 1.09.1.1341 and is available through download only.

MB usually release a few beta's and then when it is stable it will be released through auto-update.

We're happy to announce the release of Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit 1.09 Build 1334. Build 1334 has fixes for

    • Conflict with Sophos 10.6 AV resulting in MBAE service crashes
    • Edge browser crash on Windows Insider Preview build 14986
    • MS PowerPoint(v1611 & up) crash with MBAE
    • ROP gadget block on a Chinese banking website
    • A delay in execution of protected apps when MBAE is used alongside Symantec DLP.

Just a correction/question possibly.. Our install shows 1.09.2.1334. And we are STILL having issues with the "MBAE service is taking too long to start." error.
