Windows Defender Tray Icon Still Displaying After Installing Antivirus

Since the Windows 10 Creators Update, the Windows Defender tray icon still displays even after installing a third party antivirus. Prior to the Creators Update, the tray icon was removed after installing a third party antivirus.

What's the best way to hide it?

    Hello Stigg, :)

The method in the tutorial below should remove the Windows Defender notification icon for you.

    Thank you.
Although with Option 1, the tray icon is still there, just not on the Taskbar.

I'm not sure what you mean by the tray icon is still there, but not on the taskbar.

How about after using Option Two?

    Yes, I used Option 2.
Option 1 only moves it from the Taskbar. It is still in the tray though (click the little arrow to reveal other tray icons).

    Thanks again.

Option 2 should have completely removed it after you signed out and signed in to apply.
