Why do i have 72 svchost.exe processes in my windows 10?

    Hi guys,

I'm sure it's obviously abnormal and probably I've been hacked. Maybe they are virus,Trojan and backdoors. Of course I scanned my hard with bitdefender 2017 internet security and there's no any threat

When I click on them in task manager and open their locations all of them refers me to C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe.

Please tell me how can I determine they are safe or not. Any kind of help will be really appreciated.

If you are on latest version of Windows and have > 4GB RAM it is normal as svchost jobs were split.

"Why do i have 72 svchost.exe processes in my windows 10?"

Because you have just upgraded to the Creators Update, I'd guess. The way services are organised changed substantially in 1703. I have 70+ 'svchost.exe' running too.

In Windows 10 v1703 systems with more than 3.5 GB of RAM, each service would get its own service host (svchost.exe), instead of running under a shared service process...
...up until Windows 10 v1607, each svchost.exe process used to host a set of services — a model originally designed to reduce resource usage by services...

Thanks go to Dalchina for that link, from this thread...

There's a way to regroup the services if you wish using the tutorial on the Winaero site as below
