The tech said he disabled all communication/traffic between us. I may yet have to go Revo. Just a little reluctant because I know little about what I'm doing in this area. Kind of a "First Time" for me. We'll see ...

In Windows Firewall with Advanced Security on Local Computer, check in outbound/inbound rules (name and group) and delete rules labeled under their name. Run Ccleaner!

No mention of Norton or Symantec anywhere in either the inbound or outbound.

By experience, shutting down for a full night also gives very good results. If it comes back, Revo won't kill you and you may want to try the Pro version (5.28) if you want.

So far, you have made a good move because you run Defender now.

Chance of a thunderstorm tonight so it's shutting down when I post this. So far I've been lucky with this whole exercise. Thanks in no small part to the help I got right here.

    Thanks.

Up and running from a cold boot. No surprises. All's well.
