    Remote hacking

I believe I am being remotely monitored. My task manager spikes whenever this person uses their computer and I have very odd programs running. I have a dell windows 10 upgraded from 7. Can someone lead me thru steps on how to find it and eliminate it. I also don't believe I am the administrator of my computer either.... I've been dealing with being called physic and crazy for 2 months. I'd really appreciate any help

As I have read in your other thread, you mentioned your husband messed with admin passwords on your PC?! Am I correct to assume that you're afraid these two issues are related to one another?

EDIT: is that also why you (did or wanted to) reset your PC to factory settings?

    Cheers

Auwfull to read about you mishaps! I don't now much about BIOS passwords and how to troubleshoot that issue, sorry.

What I can advise you is - after the reset of the BIOS tweaks so you again have full controle of it - make a sollid back-up of ALL your personal files, perhaps even better to a only by you known password protected cloud solution. Make sure you don't use one that you - possible - share with your husband!

Do a clean install of Windows and please make sure to protect and keep safe all your used passwords!!!

Also check if you can connect to the internet from within a different network range on your modem router.

As you might understand that in these situations when there is suspicious behaviour @home that only then you need to setup a lot of things, to keep your PC from connecting to his in anyway.

Trust comes on foot, but leaves on a horse! (Dutch saying)

I hope I have made it clear how difficult it is for you to have an absolute stealth PC, at least for what I can make up from your situation.

I hope another memeber can help you with resetting the BIOS tweaks.

I wish you all the best coping and handling your awfull situation!

Again, it's a very difficult situation you're in atm. Even if you can trace back to him any keyloggers / remote session etc. WHAT will your next step be? Secure your PC so that even the NSA can't see what you're doing. No, I sincerly believe you have to take other messures in your situation. But hey, that only can and has te be your own call!

Think twice before you'll fall into a domestic ICT war, for which only two people will be accountable for. I advice you to talk to someone you trust to reconsidder your actions and the possible risks you're willing to take in this matter.

    Good luck!

This would be awesome. Would really help to see what's going on. I see in your spec.'s that its a laptop, correct? If that's the case, then you could take it to a public library and do a fresh installation. While there you could be assured that you set it up LIKE YOU WANT and put a password on it that's "out of character" for you. Much harder for someone to guess it then. What anti-virus are you using? Any reputable one should find and delete a keylogger.
