I was thinking of doing the same thing when I do a clean install of Windows 10, but after reading this article at NetworkWorld.com I elected to go with the free version of BitDefender instead. Several friends recommend it and it seems highly regarded and reviewed by the searches I've done.
For the meantime I am using WD + Malwarebytes on my old spare laptop which has the W10 Preview installed. But when the free upgrade comes for my other daily-use laptop (Winds 8.1) I will install Panda anti-virus. Main reason is because Panda (and most other AV progs) has the very handy right-click 'scan with' facility where you can scan any individual file. WD would need this function too.
There are a lot more factors to keep in mind when choosing an AV. The false positive is very important. There was an AV recently that flag itself and committed suicide. Others break installed software with there FP's, Defender has the lowest FP rate.
