UPDATE; I'm using Bitdefender Free AV now. Recently installed, it's already corralled two malicious programs or websites. So far, looks like a keeper for me.
In my opinion you have made a good choice.

I'm satisfied with it too. Now add Bitdefender TrafficLight to your browser. It works well with free AV. Not sure about privacy, thou

Yep, when I get focused on project, I just keep going. I've been obsessed with AV programs lately. and have been trying one after another. I'm pretty certain I'm done now, at least for a while.

Yesterday you were on AVG,16 hours ago you were on Kapersky and 3 minutes ago you are now on Bitdefender.

Sir I think you are in Trump mode......Hope you finally find something that you can stick with!

A little offtopic and not wanting to hijack/derrail this thread but does anybody know of a full offline installer for BD free AV? I had my share of troubles with the online installer once and I would prefer to have an offline version for those freshly formatted pcs with no Internet connection. I keep getting positive claims of this AV and although I like WD, it's always a good idea to have a second option.

I'm done experimenting now, but I may look into Bitdefender AV Plus because it reportedly offers anti-ransomeware protection.

I use Kaspersky Anti-Virus, MBAE alongside Windows Firewall on my system. All seem to work well for me.

I'm still impressed with my newly installed Bitdefender Free AV. It's already found numerous threats, and running a scan showed many more.

You are aware of course, that it will find some harmless (probably old) leftovers.. If you have any old program that mess with registry, other programs etc..

But it stops some strange links from spam mail here too, so I'm satisfied with it :)

IMO it seems pointless if you have Bitdefender free installed to add TrafficLight.
The only difference between the two is Bitdefender only warns when a suspect webpage is clicked on.
TrafficLight tells you the page is safe, and can be used with any other security AV.
So having the two installed is a waste of resources as Bitdefender free is the complete AV package.

I must add have had Bitdefender free installed on my Surface Pro 4 since this latest edition became available in the latter part of 2016,
Have ditched Mbam exploit as it took an age to load Startup, I believe it clashed with Bitdefender, loading now being instantaneous.

All in all, purely based on my own experience, would thoroughly recommend this product.

SuperAntiSpyWare isn't a virus cleaner. It mostly deals with malicious cookies and does a good job at that.
