    Malwarebytes Scam?

I just tried downloading the advertised 14-day free trial of their premium version, but during installation I get a pop-up window that says my 14 day trial has ended and then the installation stops. I think I'll keep using the free version (which I'm happy with) and search around for something else. BTW, I tried downloading and installing twice, with the same results.

Malwarebytes have been having problems for the past several weeks. Verion 3 was brought out with many existing "bugs" and they have not been able to get a fix on all of them yet. Lots of complaining users out there.

There is a thread in here at Malwarebytes 3.0

    Mr Ed,

is correct, however, there may be some sort of hang-up because you are going from the Free version to the Trial (Premium) version.

Malwarebytes has a Chat option presented when downloading the Premium version of the program. You might be able to use the Chat option to ask some questions about what is going on in your particular case.

I thought I had Version 3 up and stable.....I was wrong..

Asked for a refund and was directed to their on line seller but have not heard back from them yet.....

Hard to believe that Malwarebytes would release the latest version when it is clearly not ready for prime time.....

Thanks for the replies. I'll just stick with the free version. I'm now in the process of installing AVG. I'll try it out.

You know, I tried the same thing with Webroot free trial. When trying to install it, I'm asked for the key, which is only available if you pay for the program. I'm giving up on free- trial software, I think.

Malwarebytes limits you to one Trial on each PC and blocks you if you had tried it before.

I never used the paid version, only the free one.
