    Ben Daniels,

Are you sure it is 'Zenus', or VenusLocker?

    If VenusLocker, see the following:

Remove VenusLocker ransomware (.Venusf Files Encrypted Malware)

    Go to: Step 5

    Ben Daniels,

Some folks are reporting Zenus vs Venus, and then there is also Zeus! Keeps us totally confused!

Let's try the following for starters...

If you can, please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
Malwarebytes | Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium 14-day Free Trial

Right-click on the MBAM icon and select: Run as Administrator
Click Yes to accept any security warnings that appear.

At the MBAM console, on the left pane, go to Scan > Custom Scan > Configure Scan
Add a check to: Scan for Rootkits

    Click: Scan Now

Note: The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.

If potential threats are detected, ensure to check all the listed items, and click: Quarantine Selected

While still in Scan results, click the View Report button
In the window that opens click: Export
Select: Text file (*.txt), and save the log to the Desktop.

The log is also viewed by clicking on it on the reports list, then clicking the View Report button.

Please attach the MBAM report for review.

Note: If asked to restart the computer, please do so.
