Norton Security & Anti Virus vs Webroot Internet secutity

Any one have an opinion on these security programs. I have an older computer being repaired by the Geek squad and the technician recommended Webroot over Norton. I am presently using Norton. The packaging for the Webroot does not say anything about virus protection. I checked some reviews on Webroot and some sites give it a 9 plus, while other sites don't even list it in the top ten. I saw three reviews whereas these users complain about customer service being very slow or not responsive at all. But the reviews are old. But still, I am not convinced to make the switch from Norton. Your thoughts?

If you have been using Norton Security and are satisfied with it then keep using it. It has always been highly rated. If Geek Squad can not give you a solid reason to change then don't. Just my opinion since I've used Norton for many years.

So far I agree. From what I see on the web, Webroot has three versions and the version that is being installed on the computer being repaired does not match the front covers of the three Webroot versions. So it makes me think, I am getting one of Webroots older versions. But its no matter as I can re-install Norton with no problem.
However, I would still consider other opinions before I make a final decision.

If you've been using Norton for any length of time then you're probably familiar with its settings and how it works. There's no compelling reason to switch to a different product if Norton has been taking care of your computer(s). It's also possible that a repair facility might be getting financial considerations for pushing one brand over another. I don't mind if a computer tech gets rich, but not if it doesn't help my machine.

I also have been using Norton on my Windows OS's and they have been really good.
