Try with online installer. Haven't checked those files for some time. Offline installers are just for some folk that hate online installers, or if you have a good cause...

Edit: go to bitdefender site and click on download (online installer). Run installer (you downloaded) and:
    - if you're satisfied with online install.. let it finish
    - if you want offline installer or want to install it without internet connection, start online installer and cancel install after windows pop up.

After this you can install offline installer (first part will install bitdefender agent.

I just installed it using the online installer. Bitdefender has blocked many things I have been using for ages.Bitdefender free 2016 is out of beta-blocked-items.jpg

Are you saying you are blocked by Bitdefender from using those features? It is of concern to me as I also need them at times.

Bitdefender does not allow me to use them. I have to exclude them manually.

All those are potentially malicious apps. Think you can disable this behavior in setting. Or exclude them manually, like you did.

And Matthew, thanks for pointing that problem with online installer. I'll put additional description in first post...

It cannot be disabled. I guess it is behaviour blocker.

Very strange that Bitdefender block regular Windows commands. Upload those files to Virustotal. Your PC could be infected.

Done as you said. See the results below.

    VirusTotal
    : C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
    VirusTotal: C:\Windows\System32\taskkill.exe
    VirusTotal: C:\Windows\System32\wscript.exe
