Tnx, I just this morning run 7.0.4.0 and it didn't notify me about new version as it usually does. Even Check for updates didn't show it but than I reloaded that same page and it showed up.

Not really related but I went to purchase a license for MBAM and was surprised to see how much it’s increased in price. They’re quite proud of it!

Yeah, a $20 jump (50%) over what I paid just a few months ago. Wonder what I'm getting for that in the new version.

Probably some hired consultant recommended that they raise the price to increase the perception of “higher value” of their product.

MBAM is good stuff and I’m not saying it’s not worth it, but all the price increase did in my case was deter me from buying it and recommending to friends also got harder because of it.

I contacted their sales dept a few months ago about purchasing 100 licenses for a non-profit. The agency was currently running Eset endpoint for roughly $7-$8 a seat. Malwarebytes couldn’t/wouldn’t touch that pricing. Wouldn’t even come close.

Unless they had a sale when I looked, I’m pretty sure it was $24.99 for a single license not too long ago. Now they basically punish you if you don’t buy at least 3 licenses. Kinda dumb really cause it’s not like their going to run out of digital stock. If you’re going to sell it too me for $20 a pop if I buy 3, then you might as well let me buy one for the same amount. 3 doesn’t do me any good if I only have one PC.

I understand it’s different on the business volume licensing side but for the consumer space, they simply lost a sale. The change screams marketing tactics. Increase perceived value of your product by raising the price etc etc.
