Detecting preinstalled OEM software (aka bloatware, cough, cough...) is a nice addition.

True, but you have to be careful not to remove the (very few) useful ones.

For example, on a clean install for my Dell laptop I have deliberately installed the 'Dell Command | Power Manager'. This gives access to the battery charging schemes that otherwise can only be set up in the bios. There's no obvious way to exclude a particular OEM software detection - not until you right-click on it, that is.

Similar scenario, same package. On mine, it gives me the Alienware OC, LED Controls, and BIOS, and Thermal Controller updates, among others. Otherwise, it's a real PITA to go dig them out.

Thanks. Note to Firefox users, from release notes:

"Related, we temporarily removed the support for Firefox scanning and cleaning and we will introduce a fully new module to provide a much better support in the version 8.0.1 early December."

    Just so you are aware.
