has anyone solved?
i have the latest 27oct vers of avira but for me nothing has changed
and for you?
the problem seems to be in this avira service:
Microsoft Windows [Versione 10.0.14393]
(c) 2016 Microsoft Corporation. Tutti i diritti sono riservati.
C:\WINDOWS\system32>net start Avira.ServiceHost
Servizio Avira Service Host in fase di avvio .
Impossibile avviare il servizio Avira Service Host.
Errore di sistema.
Errore di sistema 1067.
Termine imprevisto del processo.
C:\WINDOWS\system32>
no avira tech is able to solve it..??
We'd love to help but, as already explained by @Barman58:
Sorry about that -- I'm sure you're frustrated, but we do not work for Avira. The help available for Avira Free is limited to a Peer forum ( other users only) if you need technical help from Avira they expect you to purchase a licence - which is their decision and is similar to a number of other software providers who offer a fully working free version and Paid for help
If this problem is a deal-breaker for you, perhaps consider cleanly removing Avira (using their removal tool) and installing a different AV?

it should be a pity..i'm using it since 2003...
what about the net start error showed..??
Impossibile avviare il servizio Avira.ServiceHost= Unable to Start service Avira.ServiceHost
For a given service, there may be dependencies .
Some services depend on other services, system drivers, or load order groups. If a system component stopped, or is not running properly, dependent services can be affected.
In Services, double click on the Avira.ServiceHost service and select the Dependencies tab.
Expand all the [+] to the left of the listed components, and see what the status is for each on the main list of Services.
Any dependency not working?
I had a similar problem with with another program. My solution was to completely uninstall the program using Control Panel > Programs and Features. After that I looked for and deleted named folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86). Finally I used the Registry Editor to search for the program name and delete all references. (Note: suggest making a restore point before deleting things from the registry.) Once I did all of that I reinstalled a fresh copy of the software and everything worked fine. I can only think that something about Windows 10 (perhaps one of the forced updates) damaged or corrupted the Avira.
I found these instructions from Avira for a conventional uninstall:
How do I uninstall my Avira Antivirus product?
If the conventional uninstall doesn't fix things they also offer these instructions for a manual uninstall including their own registry cleaning tool:
Instructions for manual uninstallation
I can also suggest Revo Uninstaller Pro. They have a free 30-day trial with full functionality. Revo has had great success in removing stubborn programs.
Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
Hope some of this helps.
thxs!
all the services to which it depends this one are actually set to -automatic- and are all working...
i've just unistalled and do the exact procedure suggested by marsmimar..but did really not solve
