Welcome to Avira Answers
There may be other links.
this link i knew..but is very unusefull..no avira tech reply there...
what a pity ..
has someone finally solved...??
The help available for Avira Free is limited to a Peer forum ( other users only) if you need technical help from Avira they expect you to purchase a licence - which is their decision and is similar to a number of other software providers who offer a fully working free version and Paid for help
thxs so much for yr witness
what a shame for avira
this is a very big BUG
My Avira has been off for the past three days (closed umbrella), after an update broke it. Right clicking -> enable realtime protection did nothing, and more updates did nothing. I fixed it by going to the control panel -> programs and features -> Avira Antivir -> right click -> Change and unchecking Mail Protection in the installer. Turns out this has been happening to a lot of people over the past week, but after doing that the umbrella finally opened.
but our issue is VERY different:
we do not have avira icon in systray...
this is the very avira BUG
i found the fix finally ,, just rebuild icon cache >>> Icon Cache - Rebuild in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

I searched to see if anyone addresses this issue and didn't find a thread for my exact problem, pardon me if I missed it...
I used to have a bluetooth icon showing in my system tray/notification area, which was a nice convenience. It disappeared...
I would like to find out how I can customize the actual images(icons) displayed in the system tray.
This is my current system tray -->
Icons I want to change include BitDefender, Chrome, and OpenVPN to make them better fit the new...
I have been having some weird problem with One Drive and have received several suggestions to look at the settings of One Drive by right clicking on the System Tray One Drive icon. That icon is not in the System Tray. How do I find it?
My Windows 10 system tray looks like http://puu.sh/jB7xz/a2efac640e.png for both large or small taskbar icons. The spacing between systray icons are larger than in previous versions of Windows.
Nearly everyone's screenshots of W10 have systrays...
Well as you can see in the screenshot Vuze is running, up 5 times apparently!
It isn't obviously, and I can only right click on the icon on the lower right, but this is annoying. Any ideas of how to resolve it?
