I don't know how Black Viper's suggestions work on 10. His XP ones worked great.

I agree - I used to follow Black Viper's recommendations for Windows XP but have left services well alone since Windows 8.
Black Vipre was good in win 7 sp1 also IMO.
I Have the obvious things off in Windows 10 without critical dependencies, fortunately (and wisely ) they dumped a lot of legacy resident windows code and things and the plausible UWP apps don't use a lot of background process resources or even running resources .
Sent from 14905 my 14915 update is lost somewhere and hasn't come in to my $WINDIWS.~BT folder or WU
the best thing to secure your computer is the guy/girl between the chair and the keyboard. im a "clean" user of win 10 TP since the launch pretty much with only microsofts own stuff and 0 problems within the virus/malware -sector
I have always warned, and will continue warning users to avoid using tools and sites like the one mentioned in first post. My recommendation is to stay away from that site.
No company or person in charge information, no information about where the money goes (yes, you have to pay 10 dollars without really knowing what you are buying), badly coded site and so on.
In my opinion you are making a big mistake if you buy this rubbish.
