    Windows Defender


    windows defender is turned of on my computer but every time I boot my system windows defender is telling me its turned of is there a way to stop this

    (I am using windows 10 pro insider preview build 10074)

    Hello Tom, and welcome to Ten Forums.

    In Control Panel (icons view) -> Security and Maintenance, you can click on the Turn off messages about virus protection and Turn off messages about spyware and unwanted software protection links in the red boxes for Windows Defender like below to stop this. :)

    Windows Defender-msconfig.png
    To remove the notice I discovered you need to open msconfig navigate to startup then select task manager
    Windows Defender-task-manager.png
    then scroll down to windows defender and disable it when you reboot the notice no longer appears
