If you go to Device Manager, under Disk Drives, what does it show? Right click start button>Device Manager.

Hey TC. Not to barge-in, because you are doing a tremendous job....but, do you think the Touro needs a CHKDSK? Also, I've run into this on older drives - the data is there from a while ago, you can read it, it connects to the system, etc., but try to write anything to it and it fails. It's a scary position to be in though, because all your data is at risk. Might you try PassMark Disk Checkup on the Touro to make sure it's in good health?

I only see one in Device manager. @simrick, I've never used PassMark. Can you walk her thru it? I'm also concerned the "Fix" she did last week has left some goodies on there.

Lizzy, Simrick is a really good person to have a look at this. I would let her do it, if she's willing.

My Touro an ASUS docking station are both new. I bought them a couple of months ago when moving from my Dell desktop to ASUS laptop. I transferred all my files with Touro.

Ok, there is something we can do to see if there's something corrupt in the system files.

Right click Start Button, open Command Prompt (Admin). Copy and paste this and press enter. It will run for about 10 minutes or less. SFC /SCANNOW Post a screenshot of the command window results.

Apart of Photo Creations, that is software and drivers for the HP Envy 4500 printer. I would not uninstall the printer from my system.
Agree with you fully there I also have the same Printer and also would not recommend removing any thing to do with the printer
As it will not work properly

Happy to post some screenshots on DiskCheckup - wouldn't hurt just to make sure the thing is healthy. Give me a moment please.
Not aware of this "fix" - can you elaborate?

Good, then chances are it's healthy. Let's make sure, just to rule that out.

TC - might want to run CHKDSK /r on the Touro, no?

Donald? How did this post get here? It has nothing to do with the thread!
