That's it installed. I have 885GB free on Touro.
I'm afraid I have to go but if you leave instructions I will follow tomorrow.
    Many thanks

Lizzy, I would rather walk you thru it, if that's ok. Just let me know when tomorrow. Please post back now, before you go, if that's ok. Thanks. TC

Sorry I didn't see your last message before logging off. I'm 6 hours ahead of you and can only really work on this after 6pm my time which is mid-day your time. What time after that would suit you? In your honest opinion, if you were me with my very limited knowledge and taking into account my docking station driver and back up system don't work, would you stick with W10 or roll back to W7 and wait till all the problems are solved and then possibly purchase an update at a later time?
    Thanks

Good morning, Lizzy! I've read what your concerns are, and I understand you may be in a little tail spin right now.

But let's backup, just a bit. Updating from W7 to W10 is a major jump, whether you do it now or later. You have the opportunity, now, to keep the newest OS for free. Reverting back to W7 and upgrading later does not guarantee any different results than you have now. The issues with your docking station and the Seagate backup system that came with the Free Agent drive are due to compatibility problems. That will not change later.

It is very difficult to unravel what may have been done or changed by the "Fix" you purchased and had someone go onto your machine to change or fix more. That is history, there are good methods and procedures to undo all of that. But that is a different subject.

Seagate may fix their problem, they may not. The Macrium backup solution is a proven solution and works flawlessly on Windows 10. Many members here use it, and there is always help available. For now, we need to put that aside, get you a good backup, clean up your space, and then tackle the other issues.

The LastPass issue may be resolved by uninstalling it and reinstalling it. The screen you posted looks like the LastPass extension identifier. Again, an issue for after the cleanup.

Remember....the reason for getting a good backup, that can be trusted, is to have a means to restore your system back if problems should occur.

I believe it would be in your best interests to continue with W10. That would offer the widest choice of options for the remaining issues. You've successfully gotten over the biggest hurdle, the actual upgrade from W7 to W10. You're very close to getting a very sizeable amount of space back. You're on the right track.

To sum up, keep going with what we're doing. It's your best choice.

Let me know your feelings.....Your time of after 6PM, noon my time, is fine. I'm ready to walk you thru the backup & cleanup. TC

    Hi TC,
Thanks for reassuring me. I do feel rather overwhelmed as a couple of months back I transferred from my Dell desktop to my laptop and that took a lot of time and work too. So here we go!! The only problem is without Lastpass I can't do Internet banking not urgent but could be in a few days time. I also feel I'm taking up so much of your time. So thanks for that!

Morning, Lizzy! Not now, but later on, to get passed your LastPass problem, you can always disable the extension, go to your bank web site and log in manually. If you forgot your password, just click their button "Forgot Password" and set up a new one. They probably will ask you security questions and stuff, but you'll get in.

So, back to business...you're not taking up all my time; I'm glad to help. You're making a good decision. you want to start now or wait till later?

Probably not. Let me put together a couple of screenshots for you...be right back. Meanwhile, attach your Touro drive, open it, create a new folder, call it whatever you want, something like "Lizzy_Backup". That's what we'll use to store the backup. OK? Be right back.....

Lizzy, you can use your User Control Panel (UserCP) for that. Select the UserCP link and you will see a list of new posts in all threads you have subscribed to. You are automatically subscribed to your own threads, and those started by other members where you have posted.

Clicking the small blue dot (#1 in screenshot below) in front of the thread title takes you to the first unread post in that thread (first post since your last visit in that thread), clicking the small arrowhead (#2) takes you to the last post in that thread:
