Ho hum! Just in case anyone else has problems.

I was on 4.4.1, the update crashed and I had to reinstall. It was a clean install so it took me back to 4.4.0 and out of the beta program. All settings reverted to stock and had to be set up again. That includes it replacing Defender as the AV, losing all exclusions, and scheduled scans. Updated to beta ok and now on 4.4.2.

I've had similar in the past. I wish there was an option to export/import exclusions. Setting those back up is a PITA.

Just another reason why I don't like running beta apps.

It's been an ongoing request of mine since the 1.x days. At least back then there was a way to do it fully manually, either a registry export or something else.

Last time I asked I think there was no real manual way to do it. On one hand, it makes sense - if the user has access to exclusions, then so can any malware that makes it onto the machine to hide itself from MB. But OTOH, it's obviously a PITA for folks like you and me that make extensive use of it.

Ahhh, now you know my (self-induced, admittedly) pain!
