That is the current release version not the current beta. That version went final on July 10.
The company has program updates pushed through the normal updater (the one that checks for database updates) metered in such a way that it is throttled so not every user is offered the new build once it has been released, so it becomes a matter of probability and is somewhat random. This means that you might be offered it early, or it might take a really long time before it is offered to you, it just all depends. Basically a luck of the draw kind of deal.

Strange one for me. Just wanted the free version for one laptop. Downloaded the trial version and went to account to cancel the trial as I didn't want the 15 day trial. Then had this popup which I could only use the mouse to either select renew or uninstall and could not click on anything else. Win + PRTSC worked for a screen shot though. Had to click on renewal and close an opening tab and now working ok as the free version.

The question remaining for me is:
I don't like to use beta versions, specially for a security software. I did it because I wanted the fix! I wonder if NOW I remove the "Beta Updates" option, will MWB update itself to latest stable version as soon as it's released and stop with beta updates for me?

    I agree - let's try!
By the way, I've found that the MWB icon has disappeared from my system tray - anyone else?

Only if the public release is higher that current Beta.

If you want to return to the "non-beta" MBAM going forward, the cleanest and safest way is to first set the Beta to OFF. Then use their Support Tool to uninstall and reinstall. It is quite safe and efficient. Remembers your key and all. Very user friendly, just follow the prompts and Q&A.

Thanks f14tomcat, I will keep in mind to do so when stable version is released. @John Edwards: For me the tray icon is still there!
