Like Mike. I do a quick scan before an MR backup. 35 seconds or so.......
Hello All:
MB4 4.1.0.56 - CU 1.0.835 went to the release version earlier today.
Announcement: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topi...lwarebytes-41/
Thank you.
...I just realized the last time I actually updated, let alone USED the program was back in...2015...2016...and after updating and scanning...ZERO infections! score for safe browsing and downloading habits!
This update was very strange. Hung on "Updating" for 30 minutes, so shut it down. Next time install seemed ok, but when I ran the program, about 10 seconds later, it would reboot the computer. After 3 tries of installing/running/rebooting, it seemed to work itself out.
Since the last update Reliability Monitor reports an error for Malwarebytes tray application every time I launch. I use the free version to do manual scans only. The program itself does not appear to hang or stop responding, it works fine as far as I can see.

@pliskken
MBAM has a very good clean up and re-install tool you should use in this case. Even though yours is the free version, it works the same. It completely removes MBAM, cleans up, and offers to re-install a fresh copy. Here you can read up on it, and download the tool. Easy to do, and thorough. If this does not solve the issue, then we'll investigate the Windows side, or other cause. Give this a try first.
